child pornography arrest in Las VegasAccording to reports, the suspect had multiple abusive videos and images saved onto a mobile cloud and an Instagram server that dated back to at least 2022.

Campbell’s illegal acts were first discovered after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported a tip to police on August 28th. The tipster alleged that one of the subscribers of Synchronoss Technologies, a cloud-based storage provider for Verizon Wireless, had recently uploaded illegal content that could potentially be child pornography. The video reportedly showed the sexual abuse of a girl.

Detectives began looking into the incident, and that’s when they discovered that Campbell’s account had been reported at least four other times since 2022 for similar child-related sexual and abusive content. On each occasion, the suspect is accused of uploading the material onto the Synchronoss servers.

On top of these reports, detectives also discovered that Campbell had been reported to the police via Instagram. This report was made back in 2022 and explained that Campbell had used the internet platform to upload a video that showed the sexual abuse of a toddler.

Immediately upon discovering these patterns, investigators sought a search warrant for the entirety of Campbell’s Synchronoss storage. When that warrant was approved, detectives were given 63 gigabytes of data. Among that data, there were at least 44 files that were determined to be child sexual abuse material. Detectives also looked at the suspect’s browser history and discovered even more abusive material.

Police are concerned that it’s possible some children may have been personally victimized by Campbell. They believe this could be the case because the suspect worked with children at a YMCA “in an unknown capacity” for an unspecified amount of time.

The suspect’s preliminary hearing will be held on November 20th. He is currently facing felony charges of possession of visual pornography of a person under the age of 16 and two counts of preparing, distributing, or advertising pornography.

On October 18th, the suspect was able to pay a $10,000 surety bond, so he is out of jail until his hearing.
