According to official reports from the victim, the suspect reportedly scheduled an “off-the-clock” appointment and sexually attacked her during the scheduled time.
The alleged suspect, 42-year-old Edward Tionloc, worked at the Oasis Medical Services clinic as a front desk receptionist. The attack, according to the victim, occurred in February and involved at least two incidents of inappropriate sexual contact. In the first instance, the victim says she went to Oasis Medical for treatment for a urinary tract infection on February 11, 2025.
Upon explaining her medical issue to the front desk worker, he took her into a private room and told her it was time for her screening.
The victim told police that the suspect inappropriately touched her stomach, back, breasts, and other body parts during the “screening.” At the time, the female victim thought the incident was “weird, but nothing more,” until she returned for a follow up appointment a week later.
Tinloc, posing as the clinic, called the victim to inform her that her test results were ready and to come to the clinic. When the victim arrived, she discovered that the clinic appeared to be closed despite Tinloc welcoming her in and taking her back to an exam room. The suspect told the victim he needed to “swab” her, but instead inappropriately touched her private area while asking her out on a date. The interaction was so disturbing that the victim alleges she took her phone out and began recording the assault and inappropriate comments.
After the allegations surfaced, the suspect was reportedly let go. Police are currently working to further investigate the incident and determine if more victims may have been attacked at the clinic.
On February 26th, Tinloc was arrested and charged with multiple offenses. He’s facing sexual assault, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, open or gross lewdness charges, but could face even more if more victims come forward. He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center. His trial is set to begin in October.
A sexual assault conviction in Nevada can lead to up to ten years behind bars, with the possibility of receiving even more time if aggravating factors are present. An aggravated factor would make the situation more serious, like if the victim sustains serious injuries or you used a deadly weapon.
At minimum, a conviction can result in six months behind bars. In both cases, you’ll need to register as a sex offender on a public list after you serve your time. As a registered sex offender, you’ll need to avoid areas where children congregate and may not be able to work in certain professions. You’ll also need to list your address and criminal charges on a public website.
