A 26-year-old man who died near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, was initially reported as a shooting victim. However, the Clark County coroner later confirmed that Taylor Powell died from multiple stab wounds, ruling the death a homicide. The incident occurred on May 14, 2020, at a shopping center near Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway. Two men, Frederick Douglas and Sean Powell, both 32, were arrested in connection with the killing, which police believe may have been drug-related.
