Nevada Jewelry Shop Employee Shot And Killed By Store Guard In Robbery Attempt

A 57-year-old employee was shot during an attempted robbery at The Galleria of Jewelry in Henderson, Nevada in January 2017, but that isn’t the news.

Kimberlee Ann Kincaid-Hill suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during an attempted robbery at the jewelry store where she worked.

The wait-a-minute moment came when police revealed that a security guard shot the woman.

Henderson law enforcement is still looking for the suspect who left without taking anything. A black guy weighing about 140 pounds and between 5’6” and 5’10” and wearing a red-and-black hoodie entered the mall short before closing time.

A security guard, inside the store, noticed the man with a handgun and tried to shoot the suspect. The guard missed the gunman and shot the grandmother.

Michelle French, a Henderson police spokesperson, said the robbery suspect will face murder charges as the woman was killed during an attempted robbery. The guard will not face charges.

Video retrieved from Terrible’s Gas Station at 1101 W. Sunset Road showed the suspect running towards the store.

Kincaid-Hill’s husband, a Vietnam War Veteran, died in May 2009. She is survived by several grown children and at least three grandchildren.
