It started before Justice of the Peace Nadia Wood, then moved to Harmony Letizia, and on Tuesday ended up with Noreen DeMonte. The charges include unauthorized conduct with a prisoner, sexual assault, and open or gross lewdness. Authorities say the allegations involve inmates at the Jean Conservation Camp and Casa Grande Transitional Housing.

DeMonte pointed out that many local judges have spoken at Hope for Prisoners graduations over the years, including her.

She said she still has to decide the case and sees no reason she cannot stay fair. Neither side objected.
